Simon leads the brewing team at the brewery in Llandeilo. He comes from a Welsh brewing Dynasty, being the 6th Generation of Buckley’s to brew within the principality; his family started brewing in 1767. Simon started his brewing career at the family brewery- Buckley’s Brewery in Llanelli.
Simon has been the driving force behind many of the brands brewed by Evan-Evans and is responsible for driving brand quality. The brewery has evolved over the last 10 years to be one of the most successful in Wales picking up many awards and accolades, being voted the top organic brewer in the world in 2013 at the International Brewing Awards. Simon is responsible for devising and developing each of the new brands with his son James.
Simon is an International Brand owner, with brewing interests in Ireland and the US. He also owns an award winning pub estate, with pubs throughout Wales.
James BuckleyAssistant Brewer
Son of Simon Buckley, brewing is in James’ blood. He has worked in the brewing industry since finishing school in 2007. After a brief time away working in a bottled led brewery he is now back in the family business and currently completing his brewing and distilling course with the IBD.

Stuart Jones Brewery Assistants
Brewery veterans. Andrew has been at the brewery from day one, Dilwyn joining the team a year later. Both are integral cogs in the daily running of the Evan Evans machine from delivering the beer orders to racking beer.
Jake ReesBrewery Apprentice
Jake joined the full time team in September 2013. He has become our first candidate for our apprenticeship scheme.
Louisa DaviesOffice Co-ordinator
Louisa heads up the office side of the brewery. She has worked at Evan Evans since 2005 and is a crucial member of the team, dealing with all the usual office duties as well as the more crucial role of maintaining the day to day relationships with our customers and suppliers.
Lorraine JamesTelesales & Administration
Lorraine joined the team in Sept 2013 and is an important team member. She is responsible for customer service and calling our extensive customer base each week.
